Born in Northampton, United Kingdom, Tim Muddiman works with drawing and painting to create abstract perspectives of size and structure with acrylics on heavy-weight canvas. The artist’s work originates from the psychology of home and belonging before moving through a process of design and colour to create angular paintings of illusionistic architecture and abstract geometry, openly blurring the boundaries between the applied and fine arts.
Tim is also a composer, music producer and former member of Pop Will Eat Itself and Gary Numan’s band. Muddiman has also contributed articles on independence and creativity to a range of publications including The Independent and The Huffington Post.
A body of work from 2019 and 2020 is now available in a hardback book titled The Geometrical Swing, which includes an autobiographical account of his transitional period between musician and painter and a foreword by Gary Numan.
